Personal Statement "I experience my own growing process and effectiveness as the heart of your growth. Growth is never finished. My training analysis with Jonas Kolker, M.D. of the Washington/Baltimore Psychoanalytic Society helped me understand what is resolvable, make clear my blind spots, find which personal scars are intractable, and discover the slipperiness of the unconscious." "I received a Bachelor's degree and Certificate of Design from Parson's School of Design in New York City. I hold a Master of Divinity (cum laude) from St. Paul School of Theology, Methodist, in Kansas City, and a Doctor of Ministry in pastoral counseling from Wesley Theological Seminary, Methodist, in Washington, D.C. My Ph.D. is in psychology from Boston University." "I am a Diplomate in, and an Examiner for, the American Board of Professional Psychology, and an Approved Supervisor of therapists for the American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy." "As a faculty member at the Dept. of Psychology at Northern Arizona University, I taught a course in personality theory. I am very fortunate to share that it was often touted as the "best course I've ever taken". |
